Introduction:

In 2025, Hyper Reality Company took urban advertising to the next level with an unexpected collaboration: Distefano X Evangelion, a FOOH that turned the streets of the Historic Center into a battlefield between digital titans. What began as a visual action transformed into a cultural experience that blended fashion, anime, and 3D technology in front of thousands of passersby.
 

 


What is Distefano?

Distefano is a clothing store for men and women based in Guatemala, founded in 1979 by Antonio Kozina. The brand has expanded to several countries such as El Salvador, Honduras, and the United States, offering sales both in physical stores and online. It is known for its fashion aimed at young people, especially with its “premium denim” style.
 

 

 


What is a FOOH?

The term FOOH (Fake Out Of Home) refers to highly realistic videos that simulate massive installations or events in the real world, combining real footage with 3D animations, CGI, or VFX.
Unlike traditional advertising, a FOOH is not experienced on a screen; it feels as though it is happening right in the city itself.
 
 

How Distefano X Evangelion was Created

The challenge was to merge two worlds: Distefano’s Guatemalan urban fashion, a symbol of young and rebellious style, and the iconic Evangelion universe, a global reference for futuristic anime.
To achieve this, the Hyper Reality team had to capture real location footage (Zone 1, in front of Teatro Lux and the Distefano store), perform advanced 3D modeling and animation of the EVA Units, and digitally compose with atmospheric effects, volumetric lighting, and precise motion tracking.
All of this allowed the FOOH to appear natural, epic, and perfectly integrated.
 
 
 

The Impact of the FOOH

The video achieved over 75,000 views in the first few weeks.
Anime fans and users shared the content, highlighting its realism and creativity.
More than just a visual campaign, the FOOH became a form of cultural expression, demonstrating how fashion can transcend borders through technology.
